How 2 Achieve an Hour Glass Body Shape



Hey Baby Lurkers,

There are plenty of ladies who want to know how to get an hourglass shape without even having one. And for those of you who already have an hourglass shape, you can use these tips to enhance it.




#1 Peplum Tops/Skirts

Peplum's flare at the waist and create an illusion of wider hips and a smaller waist. Peplum's are popular for Fall 2012 so they shouldn't be hard to find.



#2 Wide Leg Pants 

These pants will help add volume to the bottom half of your body and while making your waist appear smaller compared to your bottom half. This will create the illusion of an hour glass figure.


#3 Harem Pants

Harem pants are trousers that have pleats at the waist which create volume around the hip area. Towards the bottom of the pants they become slim and close fitting to the leg. Some harem pants are more dramatic then others, but I would say stick to the more tailored harem pants for a neat fit and more defined shape.


#4 Wrap Dress

A wrap dress will make any body type look like an hour glass shape. Wrap dresses are extremely flattering and should be a basic in every woman's closet. Wrap dresses have that v-neck neck line that elongates the body and gathers on the side of the wrap dress help to draw emphasis on a smaller waist. When clothing wraps around the body in a diagonal line or formation, this makes the body look proportioned. * Accent your dress with a belt or a hand tied belt.
