My cousins b-day is coming up and she wanted a swimsuit for her upcoming Vegas trip. My cousin is a fabulous curvy girl who took a liking to the retro high waist trend swimwear. She wanted the Rue 107 Iggy swimsuit in blue (top-$25 bottom-$55).

Well, I got bills so that was out of budget.
So, I went to Hancock Fabrics and found the same print fabric that is on the original Iggy from Rue 107. Long story short, I made my cousin the exact replica of the Iggy swimsuit. If you can sew you can save a lot of money if your pocket is tight. Remember* fashion is not about price but about how you piece things together.

What to Wear to a Rap Concert???

Hey Fashion Lurkers,

There are many concerts coming up and I recently went to a Brandy concert last Friday where I was dressed in a bodycon dress and heels. Now, there is nothing wrong with this look however, I regret the choice of shoes. I wore a pair of heels that were open toed and of coarse it's hot so my feet were sweating and sliding.

So, I'm going to give you some tips for What to wear to a Rap Concert. These concerts usually have the most energy and sometimes no seating so, your feet must be comfortable but you must remain cute and fashionable.

Tips

1. Wear comfortable shoes like wegdes, sneakers, or a thick platform with a chucky heel. These types of shoes are more supportive then a stiletto and sturdy. There may be pushing in the crowd.
2. Wear a comfy outfit too... stick to a look that is easy to move in and/or breathable (fabric). It will be hot so dress like your going to the club to DANCE.
3. Wear a hairstyle that you dont mind sweating out. When all fails, wear a bun. 
4. Dont wear a big purse...try a small chain bag or no bag at all. You want to be as light as possible.
5. Lastly, have fun and enjoy the show!

Day Time TV Find: American Apparel Easy Jean

Hey My Baby Lurkers,

I was watching Dr. Oz today and this episode was about plus sized models and plus sized everyday women who are a size 13-16 (the average American woman range b/t these sizes). The show talked about some tips on how to make your waist smaller with out loosing weight. I already know the secret, it's Spanx...Duuhhhh! lol

One of the models, who was an hour glass shape, spoke on the must have jean for women with this shape. I was all ears because this is my body type. The must have jean is the American Apparel Easy Jean. The model on the show said that this is a jean that can be worn all day and is very comfortable. You can dress this jean up or down. *Also, high waist bottoms compliment a woman's hour glass shape.

So, all my curvy lurkers go get these jeans because the will make you look good in all the right places. The jeans are $72 but I don't mind making an investment with some jeans that will fit me how I want. It's hard finding good jeans when you have big hips, a big booty, and a small waist.

Here is a Get the Look for the Fellas. Fathers Day (June 17th) is rapidly approaching and this could be a good look for your Father, Husband, Fiance, Brother, or Baby Daddy. Anyway, Maxwell owned this look with his scruffy beard, which I kinda like on him. Maxwell was casual yet sophisticated at the event wearing a plain white polo shirt and a white suit vest with some khaki pants. This is a very simple look that is easy to achieve.
